3 Important Information Community levy of R75 is charged per day per person Guests to arrive at the entrance gate to the Reserve strictly at 14h00 daily where they will be collected by the lodge staff in game drive vehicles and be taken to the lodge Guest will therefore NOT be able to drive their cars to the lodge but will be required to leave their cars at a safe parking area near the entrance to the Reserve The lodge is situated 10 km from the entrance gate to the Reserve This transfer game drive takes approximately 40 min in a game drive vehicle Serviced daily Check out is at 11h00 There is no cell reception within the Singomvela Game Reserve Rates are per person per day and itinerary for stay will include o 06h00 Coffee in lodge with rusks o 06h30 Morning game drive might be tea coffee on drive o 09h30 Return and freshen up o 10h00 Brunch o 15h00 Coffee spread light things like scones muffins cake etc served with coffee and tea in lodge o 16h30 Afternoon Game drive o 18h00 Return to freshen up o 19h00 Dinner o These times are pushed out by half an hour in Winter Rate excludes beverages All units are non smoking PG 5
4 Facilities Pool 100m from the central guest facility and access is over a stream across a high wooden foot bridge Boma situated near pool Central guest facility consists of reception lounge area dining area and bar area Limited WiFi facilities are available Spa 5 Activities Boma meals on Wednesday and Saturday evenings with cultural dancers Swazi and paraffin lanterns will be lit with a huge fire in the middle Guided game drives in open safari vehicles twice a day Night game drives additional cost Guided game walks additional cost Geology tours additional cost Fly fishing yellow fish permitted strictly catch and release 6 Directions Songimvelo Game Reserve is approximately 3 5 4 hrs drive from Johannesburg From Johannesburg via Machadadorp PG 6 Travel to Machadodorp on the N4 Travel through Machadodorp follow signs to Badplaas Go down Skurweberg pass and turn right at T junction direction Badplaas Please watch your speed as there are speed traps On your left is the Cradle of Life building and a filling station Watch your speed speed traps Continue for 4 7 km and turn left after you had crossed a bridge road signs will say Lochiel Mbabane R541 Big speed bumps after turn off Continue on this road for aprox 20 4 km then you wil enter the town called Elukwatini keep to the speed 60km h Pass through the town 2 stop streets in town Elukwatini S26 02 435 E30 47 549 In this section are roadworks thus detours to be completed in March 2016 Just follow the detour it will take you through a residential area typical rural town it is a good gravel road Just be careful for speed bumps in the road After 13 km you wil turn left you are in Mooiplaas settlement There is a white sign on your left indicating Songimvelo Reserve S26 03 739 E30 53 173 Follow this gravel road for aprox 5 km you are at the Songimvelo gate
From Johannesburg via Carolina Follow the N4 pass Alzu Turn right at the Eerstelingsfontein road R33 Travel through the town of Carolina follow the Badplaas Emanzana Barberton road signs R38 Travel through Badplaas and turn right on the R541 direction Lochiel Oshoek Mbabane Travel through Elukwatini a traffic light and two stop streets all tar roads Be on the look out for speed humps cattle and speed traps 10km from Elukwatini you will travel through the Mooiplaas settlement Turn left on the other side of Mooiplaas white Songimvelo Nature Reserve and Humala River Lodge road signs The gate of the reserve is 4 kilometer s further on this gravel road Report at the Humala Reception at the gate At the gate you will park your vehicle and travel further with a game viewer From Nelspruit via Barbeton Follow the R40 Madiba Drive Direction barberton After aprox 35km turn right on the R38 direction Carolina Badplaas Crossing the Nelshoogte pass be on the lookout for forestry trucks Mist tight corners and slow traffic Turn left on the R541 direction Lochiel Oshoek Mbabane cross the Seekoeispruit bridge aprox 61km Travel trhough Elukwatini a traffic light and two stop streets all tar roads Be on the look out for speed humps cattle and speed traps 10km from Elukwatini you will travel through the Mooiplaas settlement Turn left on the other side of Mooiplaas white Songimvelo Nature Reserve and Humala River Lodge road signs The gate of the reserve is 4 kilometer s further on this gravel road Report at the Humala Reception at the gate At the gate you will park your vehicle and travel furhter with a game viewer PG 7
